Teacher Registry

YogaBC members encourage you to register with this provincial organization. Your registration helps to build a community of professional teachers.


A minimum requirement for becoming a YogaBC Registered teacher is to successfully complete a 200-hour teacher training program that meets YogaBC's established standards, or equivalent training for senior teachers. It is also required that teachers be insured and have current First Aid and CPR training.

 

Joining the Registry is also a commitment to upholding the Code of Ethics. Yoga begins with the Yamas (Observances) and Niyamas (Restraints). In addition to these 10 ethical principles, members of YogaBC adopted at the June 2009 Annual General Meeting the following: Code of Ethics.
